About Nia

Nia is a personal AI assistant you control. One assistant, with one memory, across your terminal, browser, phone and desktop. It can run on local models or on the provider you choose, and it can actually do things for you: manage your notes, tasks and calendar, work in your email and documents, write code, and use your computer when you ask it to.

Nia is built and run by one independent developer, Mapalo William Chipili, based in Zambia. There's no company behind it yet, so when the Terms and Privacy Policy say “we”, they mean that person. Nia runs on servers we operate ourselves rather than on a big cloud platform.
