Delete your data

Effective: 1 November 2026

You can delete your Nia account and your data whenever you like. Here's how.

1. Delete your account in the app

In the Nia app (app.niaspark.com, or the desktop or mobile app), open Settings and choose Delete account. This immediately deletes:

  • your account and sign-in links
  • all chats and messages, including archived and locked ones
  • facts, memories and preferences Nia saved about you
  • API keys, Bots and bot groups, automations, schedules and reminders

Want a copy first? Settings → Export data downloads your chats, facts and preferences.

2. Ask us to remove the rest

Some data is stored separately and isn't yet removed by the in-app button:

  • files in your Vault and other uploads
  • your notes, tasks and events in Notes, Todo and Calendar
  • Nia's long-term search memory about you
  • files and browser data inside your Bots' own computer sessions

Email privacy@niaspark.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my data”. You can do this before or after step 1, and you can also use it if you can no longer sign in. We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days at most.

What we keep, and for how long

Deleted data leaves our backups within 90 days. We keep something longer only if the law requires it (for example, payment records), and only for as long as it requires. Data already sent to an AI provider to answer a message is covered by that provider's retention policy. See Subprocessors.

Disconnect a service without deleting your account

You can disconnect Google, GitHub, Slack, Microsoft, WhatsApp or any other integration from Settings at any time. To revoke Nia's access from Google's side too, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.
