Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: 1 November 2026

Nia can act in the real world: on your computer, your phone, your accounts, and through Bots that run on their own. This policy is what you agree not to use it for. It's part of the Terms of Service and applies to everything Nia does for you, whether you ask directly or through a Bot, automation or schedule.

Don't use Nia to

  • Break the law, or help someone else break it.
  • Access computers, accounts, networks or data you don't have permission to access, including probing, scanning or attacking systems, unless you own them or are authorised to test them.
  • Write, spread or run malware, or get around security controls, rate limits or paywalls.
  • Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages by email, WhatsApp, Slack or any other channel, or automate messages people haven't agreed to receive.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or dox anyone, or collect personal data about people without a lawful reason.
  • Impersonate a person or organisation, or mislead people into thinking they're talking to a human when they're talking to Nia or a Bot in a way that harms them.
  • Commit fraud or scams, or create fake reviews, records or documents.
  • Create or share sexual content involving minors, content that sexualises anyone without their consent, or content that promotes violence against people.
  • Create, edit, request or share sexual, nude or intimate images or videos of a real person without their consent, including AI-generated or altered ones ("deepfakes", AI non-consensual intimate imagery), or use any connected service such as Google Drive, Gmail or Google Photos to find, store or distribute them. Nia does not generate images of people, and accounts that attempt this are terminated.
  • Get help making weapons capable of mass harm (biological, chemical, nuclear, radiological) or plan violence.
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks or other people's rights.
  • Make automated decisions about people's jobs, credit, housing, education, or legal status without meaningful human review.

Don't misuse Nia itself

  • Don't try to access other users' data, get around sign-in or usage limits, or reverse-engineer the service to do so.
  • Don't overload Nia on purpose, or use it in a way that disrupts it for other people.
  • Don't resell or share access to your account without our agreement.
  • Don't use Nia's output to build a competing AI model where the underlying model provider forbids that.

Model provider policies

Your requests are answered by third-party AI models, and their usage policies apply too: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and Zhipu AI each have one. Where they're stricter than this page, the stricter rule applies.

Connected services

When Nia acts in Gmail, WhatsApp, GitHub or any other service, you still have to follow that service's rules. For example, WhatsApp limits automated and bulk messaging. Breaking them can get your account on that service suspended, and that's outside our control.

What happens if this policy is broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may refuse a request, remove content, disable a Bot or feature, or suspend or close the account. Where the law requires it, or someone is in danger, we may report it to the authorities.

If you see Nia or a Nia Bot being used against these rules, email legal@niaspark.com.
